It took 10 years to find the most wanted man on the planet but now, courtesy of the Oscar-winning Kathryn Bigelow, we get to see it in ZERO DARK THIRTY.
ZERO DARK THIRTY sees Kathryn Bigelow follow her amazing ‘Best Director’ Oscar win for the extraordinary The Hurt Locker and re-team with her fellow Oscar winner from that movie, screenwriter Mark Boal, for this exhilarating recreation of the hunt for Osama bin Laden. It took 10 years to track bin Laden down to the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan and the film depicts in great detail the painstaking effort that was required to locate him.
Bigelow has assembled a superlative cast for ZERO DARK THIRTY led by the strikingly talented Jessica Chastain. She follows her Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA-nominated supporting role in the hugely successful drama The Help, playing the central role of Maya, the CIA operative alongside whom the audience travels on this journey. In the last year alone, Chastain has worked with Al Pacino on the documentary Wilde Salome which went behind-the-scenes of his stage production of the Biblical play by Oscar Wilde where she was the temptress to his King Herod and with esteemed director Terrence Malick on his new film The Tree of Life.
The cast also includes Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, Edgar Ramirez, Chris Pratt, Joel Edgerton, and the fabulous Mark Strong so start the journey to that compound here by watching the exciting first trailer.
30 minutes after midnight, the hunter finally meets the hunted…
