Well, this SKYFALL could be very interesting, Mr Bond with director Sam Mendes at the helm of the new 007 adventure.
The new James Bond adventure, elliptically titled SKYFALL, could be very interesting indeed from this first glimpse of the movie’s teaser trailer which is now online.
SKYFALL is directed by the Oscar-winning Sam Mendes in his first real foray into the action realm. Having established a very successful career in heavyweight, dramatic movies, it’s a savvy choice by the producers’ Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. Mendes is known for his 1999 debut, the superb and blackly comic suburban tale American Beauty, his 2002 follow-up, the beautiful 1930s-set crime drama Road To Perdition (possibly my particular favourite), his Iraq War-set drama Jarhead from 2005 and his stunning 2008 feature Revolutionary Road which reunited the stars of Titanic, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, in a very different 50s post-war marital drama.
But the new 007 film sees him collaborate once again with one of the stars of Road to Perdition, Daniel Craig returning of course as Bond. Judi Dench is back as well as Bond’s steely MI6 boss ‘M’ and we have the fabulous Javier Bardem and the amazing Ralph Fiennes joining the cast of the 23rd film in the Bond series.
“Some men are coming to kill us. We’re going to kill them first.”
