Brilliant writer/director Martin McDonagh’s new movie features not just two crazy guys but SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS.
Martin McDonagh the hugely talented playwright who turned screenwriter/director for his brilliant 2008 debut feature In Bruges, looks like he’s created an absolute corker of follow-up with the hilarious-looking new comedy SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS. Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson certainly tore up the screen as the mismatched hitmen in the fantastic and deservedly award-winning comedy In Bruges. Now Farrell teams up with McDonagh again for what – on this first look trailer – seems an even wackier ride.
This time, the premise involves a struggling screenwriter called Marty (Farrell) getting mixed up in the kidnapping of a gangster’s cute little pooch. But when the gangster is played by the wonderful Woody Harrelson and the rest of the phenomenal cast (which makes up the ‘seven’ of the title) involves Sam Rockwell, Tom Waits, Olga Kurylenko, Abbie Cornish and the great Christopher Walken, you just know this is going to be one madcap kidnap! I should also mention that in some of the supporting roles, you’ll spy the venerable Harry Dean Stanton and great characters actors Michael Stulbarg, Kevin Corrigan, and Zeljko Ivanek.
So take a look at the trailer and just remember, they don’t take any Shih Tzu…
