I’ve always been a bit of a fan of MICHELLE WILLIAMS. Since being introduced to her stunning and focused work in the TV series Dawson’s Creek and then seeing her move into film with performances in the friendship drama Me Without You, the Oscar-winning Brokeback Mountain (for which she was nominated as ‘Best Supporting Actress’), the sweet independent movie Wendy and Lucy, the shattering drama Blue Valentine and most recently opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s mystery Shutter Island, I’ve always found WILLIAMS a compelling presence on screen.

“I’m a person who needs a lot of time… so when I do make a decision to work, it can’t be a whim. It has to have a lot going for it.”

So says the superlative WILLIAMS in this interview where she talks really frankly about her new film Take This Waltz. In Sarah Polley’s romantic drama, she plays Margot a thirty-something happily married woman who suddenly finds herself in crisis when an artist moves in across her street. She also opens up on what it felt like creating her incredible performance in Blue Valentine – opposite a certain Mr. Ryan Gosling – how she selects her roles and a whole lot more…

I hope that was coherent…
