How did MARK RUFFALO find himself becoming the heart of the superhero team in The Avengers?
The wonderful MARK RUFFALO has wowed both critics and fans alike with his spot-on portrayal of Bruce Banner and the Hulk in The Avengers. Having been originally considered for the role when director Louis Leterrier was making The Incredible Hulk in 2008, RUFFALO has since said it was an honour for him to follow in the footsteps of his friend Edward Norton who ended up playing the part:
“Ed has bequeathed this part to me, I look at it as my generation’s Hamlet.”
So read how it all came about in a great interview with MARK RUFFALO where he reveals how his Hulk fits into the superhero team of The Avengers and to which the film’s director Joss Whedon contributes,
“He’s all heart because Mark is such a cutie. I think he and Cap kind of share that role as the everyman who’s lost in this kind of world, who are both very centered in who they are, but at the same time, very convinced that they’re not going to be able to negotiate this modern situation.”
