In Avengers: Age of Ultron “There are no strings on me”

The superhero gang is back to battle a truly formidable foe in Joss Whedon’s epic-looking sequel AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.

The teaser trailer for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, the sequel to 2012’s mammoth hit The Avengers, was leaked a few weeks ago by some naughty internet types, forcing Marvel’s hand to release the official version, somewhat prematurely, hours later. But then a week later, Marvel trumped that by releasing an extended version with a very neat scene from the movie as a sort of prologue to the trailer, featuring our favourite superhero gang kicking back before events take a darker turn.

So rest assured, the band is well and truly back together as writer/director Joss Whedon returns at the helm and assembles Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, The Incredible Hulk, Thor and Hawkeye – otherwise known as Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner – to save the planet once again – helped by Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, Cobie Smulders’ Agent Hill and Don Cheadle’s Colonel Rhodes.

The Avengers may need their assistance because the mysterious Maximoff twins, Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen), who first appeared in the end credits sequence of Captain America: The Winter Soldier make much more of an impression here and you wonder whose side they’re on.

What’s clear is that the gang will need all their superpowers to do battle with James Spader‘s truly formidable foe ULTRON. So in April 2015, I think we should be worried.

“There are no strings on me.”
